Soft Paws Café is a community-focused cat café designed as a calm escape from everyday overstimulation. The project centers on creating a low-pressure, emotionally supportive environment through soft forms, warm lighting, and a muted color palette. A glass-separated cat lounge allows guests to observe rather than interact, reinforcing a sense of choice, comfort, and ethical care. The brand identity reflects this approach through rounded typography, minimal cat-inspired elements, and a warm, approachable visual language. By combining spatial design with a cohesive visual system, the project creates an experience that encourages relaxation, gentle connection, and community-driven well-being.
Process
The process began with research into sensory-friendly design and ethical cat café models, focusing on how space and branding could support calm, low-pressure interaction. Early concepts explored layout, materiality, and visual tone, refining how elements like soft forms, muted colors, and lighting could reduce overstimulation. Through iteration, the direction shifted toward a more intentional balance between playfulness and restraint. The final system integrates spatial planning with a cohesive visual identity, ensuring that every touchpoint—from layout to branding details—supports a sense of comfort, choice, and community.
